My Approach to Therapy

You’re doing the best you can, and it still feels like something’s missing. You don’t know what that something is, but you know when it was taken from you. I know because I’ve been there, and I want to help you. Starting with a new counselor is extremely difficult. I always tell clients that counseling is like a pair of jeans. If they don’t fit right, it will be uncomfortable. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Ohio, I use audio- and video-based treatment to reduce the impact of adverse life experiences, and to help busy survivors let go of the past and thrive in the future. Confidential, on-time, dedicated, and empathetic. I return calls and emails the day of. I start treatment with a brief overview of what’s going on, and we collaborate on goals. The time for difficult questions will come as we work toward building a trusting relationship. Together, we will learn more about how your unique experiences are impacting your body and your life. Then we will learn skills to stabilize things. When you’re ready, we will do some deeper work to untangle the past for a clearer future. I specialize in supporting people who are dedicated to healing from things they don’t talk about. I use whole-body treatment interventions to get to the core of where trauma is stored.

My Practice & Services

Trauma Therapy Company. We are a trauma treatment center based primarily online. We believe in the good in people. We treat those that have survived abuse, maltreatment, neglect, natural disasters, victims of violent crimes, or other adverse life experiences. We are transparent with our clients and providers about the efficacy and risks of the highest evidence based practices that we use. We develop relationships with our survivors as individuals first and then have them lead the trauma treatment with our consultation and expertise. We use ongoing assessment measures to compare and show real progress across treatment. We teach skills for use outside of the therapeutic hour to heal and recover from the reactions of trauma. We work at the root cause of the traumatic stress reactions, the experiences themselves. People working with us believe the good in themselves.

My Therapy Focus

Can I ever get over what happened to me? Do you have nightmares keep you awake at night; Reliving the past? Has worrying about safety cause you to check on your kids? Have you beat yourself up about getting angry at work or with your kids? Do you wish you could erase these memories and take back your body? It can feel like your mind and body are betraying you when you suffer from the lasting effects of physical and sexual abuse. The physical pain you feel in your body and your mind racing, chest pounding, lying in bed, eyes open, staring at the ceiling.
