My Approach to Helping
I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, and a Graduate of Simmons School of Social Work, in Boston, Massachusetts. Although I have had ongoing training and have many techniques to be used for a variety of emotional issues, I truly believe that it is the relationship that heals. I am a Humanist in theoretical orientation. My underlying philosophy is to collaboratively work with people, to instill a measure of hope, and to assist them in becoming more aware of their inner resources. The therapeutic approach used is both gentle and supportive. My role is to provide guidance in improving the quality of people's lives, helping them to achieve their goals through gentle discussion within a calm and caring atmosphere.
