Congratulations on taking the brave step of considering therapy. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I’ve worked with people from many diverse walks of life. I became a therapist a little later in life, and my life experiences inform my practice. I understand we all do the best we can with what we have. I’m here to partner with you on this journey.
These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb.
~ Najwa Zebian
At times, we may carry burdens or experiences from the past that interfere with our ability to enjoy the present or prevent our ability to move forward. To support clients in addressing challenges, I use empathetic listening and evidence-based treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, and mindfulness.
This is your therapy session. I partner with you on your journey toward your goals. You are provided a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts. You are offered the opportunity to build tools and strategies to support you in setting down those mountains, becoming empowered, and building resiliency so you can enjoy the present and move forward in your life.
