What's My Approach to Therapy?
Welcome to my page! Whether it's with me or someone else, I hope you will take the step to begin therapy. I believe that a warm, trusting relationship with a therapist can change your life. Therapy should be a safe place to explore your struggles, hopes, fears... anything that you want to discuss with a warm and compassionate professional who cares.
I have been called “the best listener” my whole life, and as a therapist, I have learned to listen between the lines, helping you find connections, insight, and meaning. Depending on your wants and needs, I also provide feedback and suggestions, including at-home exercises that will help you meet your goals. Your path to healing is unique, and I would be honored to walk alongside you!
I have been licensed for over 13 years, working primarily with adults and couples. I am the co-author of two books and was adjunct faculty at the University of San Diego for several years before relocating to the Tri-Valley.
I have seen a bit of everything in my many years as a therapist, but probably the best fit for me are young adults, moms and dads (especially with challenging parenting situations), adults who feel lost or ill at ease, couples facing struggles...really anyone wants to understand themselves and their relationships better, grow into the person they want to be, and is seeking the caring, nonjudgmental guidance of a therapist as they take their next steps.
