My Approach to Helping

Do you feel overwhelmed? Emotional? Scattered? Has your life become so busy, or difficult that you don't even have time to breathe? If this is you, you are not alone. There is nothing 'wrong' with you. Often, we have exactly what we can handle until something stressful happens and it can push us 'over the edge'. Sometimes issues from your past continue to get in your way. Sometimes, it's simply that you have taken on too much, or are listening to all the outside people or the 'shoulds' in your life, and are having trouble finding balance. I focus on present oriented therapy so that I can help you with what's happening in your life right now. Learn how to listen to yourself, and use this inner wisdom to create the life and way of being in your life that you have always wanted. Feel more at peace and nurture the relationships most important to you. You deserve to treat yourself. Take the time to slow down, and uncover what you already know. I have a passion for working with women and helping them get in touch with their power, passion, creativity and inner strength. Your best self is already there, let me help illuminate all your strengths. I also specialize in helping parents, families and couples find peace and balance, whether together or separated create a more loving and peaceful way of being in relationship with one another.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

One of the most important factors in choosing a therapist is finding a therapist that is a good match for you. Sometimes this has nothing to do with whether or not the therapist has a specialty in the area you are seeking help for. Though specific skills should definitely be considered, you also need someone that you feel comfortable with. You should feel heard. Your therapist should be open to talking about their approach, style, and professional knowledge. I also believe that therapists should have their own therapist and/or consultation group so that they are continuing to grow and expand as they are assisting you through your journey. Other factors you may want to consider are cost, schedule and location. If you find a therapist that is a good match, it may be worth paying a little more, but now so much that you won't be able to maintain going to therapy. Also consider, the convenience of the office location and schedule based and where you will be traveling from. You don't want getting to therapy to be a hassle.
