What's My Approach to Therapy?
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they intellectually understand but can’t seem to shift. They may feel overwhelmed, emotionally shut down, self-critical, or caught in cycles of shame and self-doubt. My work helps clients move out of survival mode and into a more grounded, empowered way of living. I take a down-to-earth, collaborative approach to therapy that blends warmth with practical, research-informed tools. I’m actively engaged in the process. We’ll slow things down when needed, but we’ll also work intentionally. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you; it’s about healing your nervous system.
A central focus of my work is healing core beliefs rooted in shame, the quiet, often unspoken beliefs that say, “something is wrong with me,” “I’m not enough,” or “I am unwanted.” Together, we explore where these beliefs came from, how they show up in your body, emotions, and relationships, and how to gently replace them with greater self-trust and compassion.
If insight hasn’t been enough to create change, you’re not broken. Your nervous system adapted to keep you safe, and it can learn new ways of being with the right support. If you’re looking for therapy that feels human, grounded, and empowering, I’d be honored to work with you.
