My Approach to Therapy

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that are difficult to change, or simply unsure of how to move forward. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, a major life transition, or another difficult period, therapy can provide a space to better understand what you are experiencing and develop meaningful ways of responding to it. I approach therapy as a collaborative process. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and comfortable exploring difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we will work to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies for navigating challenges, and identify changes that are consistent with what matters most to you. My approach is evidence-based and individualized, drawing primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I do not believe therapy should feel like a one-size-fits-all formula. I tailor our work to your needs, experiences, strengths, and goals, while approaching the therapeutic relationship with warmth, compassion, curiosity, and respect. Ultimately, I believe we all have the capacity for growth and change throughout our lives. Therapy can help strengthen your sense of agency, deepen your understanding of yourself, and move you toward a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.

My Practice & Services

At Western Behavioral Center, I provide psychotherapy and comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations exclusively for adults. Services are available in English and Spanish, in person in Bradenton and through telehealth across Florida. My psychotherapy practice focuses on helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, and other mood concerns, obsessive-compulsive challenges (OCD), trauma and stress, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have particular experience helping people adjust to neurological or medical conditions, cognitive changes, brain injury, and changes in health or functioning. As a clinical neuropsychologist and Psychologist, I evaluate concerns involving memory, attention, executive functioning, neurological conditions, neurodegenerative disease, brain injury, and other cognitive changes. I also provide psychological evaluations for diagnostic clarification, including attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), autism spectrum, learning challenges, and emotional or behavioral concerns. I completed my clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, and that training informs my work with complex cognitive, emotional, medical, and neurological concerns. I welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and Spanish-speaking and bilingual clients, and I provide individualized care that respects each person’s experiences, values, culture, and goals.
