My Approach to Therapy

If social anxiety has been holding you back from living the life you want, whether it's speaking up at work, forming meaningful connections, or simply feeling comfortable in everyday social situations, I'm here to help you move forward with confidence. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MHC) with an M.Ed., I specialize in helping adults overcome social anxiety using evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). These proven methods provide practical tools and strategies that create real, lasting change. My educational background includes training from New York University (NYU), the University of Southern California (USC), and the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where I developed a strong foundation in behavioral therapies that actually work. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to face your fears at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll work to understand the thoughts and patterns that fuel your anxiety, develop concrete skills to manage difficult emotions, and build your confidence through carefully planned exposures. My approach is warm and compassionate, while also being structured and action-oriented, because I know that real change comes from both insight and practice.

Groups I Work With

I maintain a specialized clinical interest in providing expert psychotherapy and executive coaching to individuals in high-pressure professions, including attorneys, physicians, corporate executives, CEOs, finance professionals, and emerging professionals preparing to enter these fields. As a therapist, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique psychological demands faced by people in these roles through my clinical training and practice. I recognize the systemic and personal barriers that can hinder access to effective care, and I am committed to offering on-demand treatment that is adaptable and responsive to the distinct professional and emotional challenges my clients encounter, with the highest regard for confidentiality. The concerns I most frequently address in this context include occupational burnout, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, attention and cognitive difficulties, self-doubt, interpersonal dynamics, communication skills, and identity development.
