My approach to therapy is warm, structured, and purpose-driven. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and intentional—grounded in a clear plan, aligned with your values, and focused on meaningful, measurable progress. Together, we identify your goals, develop a strategy to pursue them, and regularly evaluate outcomes to ensure that your time and investment are producing real change. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, skills-based, and trauma-informed interventions, with an emphasis on practical tools you can apply immediately. My goal is not simply symptom relief, but durable growth—helping you develop insight, resilience, and patterns of living that extend well beyond the therapy office. I also specialize in working with Christians who desire a biblically compatible approach to psychological care. I intentionally integrate sound clinical science with a Christ-centered worldview. For clients who desire it, this may include incorporating spiritual disciplines such as prayer, reflection on Scripture, and theological understanding of suffering, growth, and sanctification. My aim is not to replace psychology with theology, nor to dilute faith with secular theory, but to thoughtfully integrate both in a way that strengthens your walk with God while addressing the psychological challenges you face. Humble Beginnings Counseling is built on a team-based, growth-oriented model of care. While I provide direct clinical services, I do not operate from a lone ranger philosophy. We believe meaningful change happens best within a framework of accountability, collaboration, and thoughtful treatment planning. New clients can expect a structured intake process designed to clarify goals, identify maintaining patterns, and develop a clear path forward. Therapy is active and participatory. We regularly assess progress and adjust strategies to ensure that your treatment remains focused and effective. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, mood concerns, relational strain, overcontrolperfectionism, life transitions, and faith-related questions. I am particularly suited for clients who appreciate depth, structure, and a forward-moving approach rather than purely open-ended conversation. Services are available both in-person and via telehealth (as applicable to your licensure). Insurance and self-pay options are available.
