My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy begins with creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s individual experiences, needs, and goals. I want clients to feel comfortable being honest about what they are going through, while we work together to better understand their emotions, relationships, and the patterns that may be affecting their lives. I specialize in couples counseling and have Level 1 certification in Gottman therapy. I also work with children, adults, couples, and families. I have experience supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family challenges, foster care, adoption, and relationship difficulties. As the founder of Calming Waves Counseling in Washington, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Our team brings together clinicians with different specialties, experiences, and therapeutic approaches, so clients can find support that is tailored to their unique needs. Across our practice, we strive to create a safe and understanding environment where clients can process their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful growth and well-being. My goal is to meet clients where they are, listen without judgment, and work alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward the changes they hope to make.

My Practice & Services

At Calming Waves Counseling, we believe that asking for support is a meaningful step, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Our practice is made up of compassionate clinicians who work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families through a variety of challenges and life transitions. Our therapists bring different experiences, specialties, and approaches to their work, allowing us to connect clients with a clinician who feels like the right fit for their individual needs. We support clients working through concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, family challenges, grief, self-esteem, and other personal or life challenges. We believe therapy should feel like a safe and supportive place to be honest about what you're experiencing. Our goal is to meet each client where they are, listen without judgment, and work together toward meaningful change. We offer both in-person and telehealth services, and our team is here to help you find the support that best fits your needs.
