My Approach to Therapy

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, or the challenges of a major life transition, you're not alone. I specialize in helping adults heal from complex trauma, navigate difficult life changes, and reconnect with a stronger sense of self. Many of my clients are women facing midlife transitions, including perimenopause, menopause, empty nest, caregiving responsibilities, relationship changes, and questions about identity, purpose, and what's next. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply trauma-informed. Drawing from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other evidence-based therapies, I help clients understand the root causes of their struggles, process painful experiences, and develop lasting tools for healing and growth. Together, we'll create a safe, supportive space where you can move beyond survival, build resilience, and create a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

My Practice & Services

I provide virtual therapy for adults throughout Florida and North Carolina. My areas of focus include complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, and stress-related issues. I have advanced training in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and work from a trauma-informed perspective that honors each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I also have a special interest in supporting individuals navigating significant life transitions, including career changes, relationship changes, caregiving responsibilities, empty nest adjustments, and midlife challenges such as perimenopause and menopause. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

I believe that many of the struggles people experience are understandable responses to life circumstances, relationships, losses, and past experiences—not evidence that something is inherently wrong with them. While diagnoses can sometimes provide a useful framework or language for understanding symptoms, I strive to view each person through a compassionate, non-pathologizing lens. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I believe a more helpful question is, "What happened to you, and how did you learn to adapt?" Together, we'll explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and coping strategies that developed over time and work toward healing in a way that honors your resilience, strengths, and lived experience.
