What's My Approach to Therapy?
While we cannot change the past, we can choose how we perceive it and how we move forward. In my work with clients, I emphasize the power of self-expression as a path to greater self-awareness and healing. Expression plays a vital role in our everyday lives, especially when navigating through challenging experiences like grief and trauma. I approach therapy with a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based perspective, meeting clients where they are and helping them make meaningful changes toward healing.
For some, verbal expression can be difficult. Creative outlets, such as art, offer a powerful way to externalize thoughts and emotions in a tangible, meaningful way. As an Art Therapist, I am able to integrate creative expression into therapy sessions to foster deeper self-awareness and facilitate the healing process.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). With years of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, and addiction, I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, DBT, MI, and Crisis Intervention.
I offer both in-person sessions and telehealthvirtual options to best support your needs.
