My Approach to Therapy
I am a provider of genuine care, authentic love, and open ears. My therapy models reflect this approach - I use Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy [AEDP] to co-regulate painful wounds and emotions. This is done by me attuning to your affective experience, in connectedness and empathy.
My Practice & Services
I provide individual services to all adults, and to children older than 13 years old. i, at some point, will include couples counseling into my practice; an din the mean time will see a partner with the client - the client being the focus of that session.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy is heal a wound that collectively impacts cognition, behaviors, and emotions. For years, the focus on psychology andpsychotherapy has been on thoughts and behaviors - but only recently did we start to focus on emotions. That is my focus and i believe the purpose of psychotherapy: affect.
