My Approach to Helping
Therapy is a way to help navigate through life’s ups and downs, a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, to foster healing, growth, or awareness, and gain a better understanding of you and others around you.
We all experience challenges, issues, or change, which can be both positive and negative, whether it is trauma-related, career or vocational, or life transitions. As a licensed clinical social worker, utilizing a cognitive behavioral, healing-centered, and trauma-focused lens, we can work together through a therapeutic approach in an empowering and mindful process to build upon your strengths for emotional well-being.
Janice received her masters in social work at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and has over ten years of varying experience providing services to interpersonal crime and abuse survivors. As an Asian-American, an additional interest is anti-racism and culturally inclusive work.
