My Approach to Helping
I have a Masters degree in Counseling and I am a Certified addictions Professional with 20+ years of experience working in the field of Addiction and Behavioral Health Services. I have a passion for working with people who just want to feel better and learn coping skills in dealing with anxiety and depression.
Over the years I have provided therapeutic services for veterans, adolescents, and adults with substance use and behavioral health disorders. I believe in using a strengths-based approach in treating your individualized needs. I utilize a variety of holistic and evidence-based therapy approaches with an emphasis on solution focused-therapy, trauma informed care, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
My passion is to help you uncover your true potential and live the life you desire. I specialize in addictions treatment and have been a recovery coach to many individuals. I also have extensive experience in working with families that are struggling with a family member who is using substances. I believe that mental health and self care is imperative to live a heathy lifestyle and know from experience that is necessary to prevent other life problems. Sometimes just talking to someone and trying some new approaches in coping with stress can be very beneficial.
