My Approach to Therapy

Have you been feeling overwhelmed? Caught in the midst of all the chaos? You might be outwardly successful, yet feel internally unsettled—questioning who you are, how you show up in relationships, or whether you’re living in alignment with your values. As a therapist of color, I value creating a safe and welcoming space where you have the permission to be your full, authentic self. I support adults of color to understand their emotional patterns, strengthen their sense of self, and make choices that support healthier relationships, so you can move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and a more grounded sense of self. If you choose to begin therapy with me, empathy is paired with thoughtful challenge to support growth and self-discovery. Through collaborative, culturally affirming therapy, I will help you explore past experiences and build insight and tools to navigate life with greater balance.

My Practice & Services

Transcend Therapy is a minority woman–owned private practice offering culturally responsive, trauma-informed care for adults and couples. We focus on helping clients explore how their pasts, identities, and experiences shape how they show up in the world and in their relationships. Beyond individual and couples therapy, we offer: • Clinical supervision for mental health professionals pursuing licensure Our approach blends psychodynamic insight with practical strategies, including CBT, to help clients process experiences, strengthen relationships, and navigate life transitions. We provide a warm, supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I believe in Transcending beyond Therapy. I see therapy as a catalyst to change, as the start to transcending beyond your past and taking ownership of your future. I believe that healing is not about erasing pain, but about learning to move through it with understanding, courage, clarity, and care.
