What's My Approach to Therapy?

I am currently seeing older children (10 and up), adolescents, and adults for therapy. I am currently not accepting couples for therapy. I believe all individuals have strengths and the capacity to meet their full potential. My main approach is to provide a safe and secure environment for clients to process feelings and learn to manage emotions and behaviors. I incorporate play, art, sandtray, and symbolism to aid in the therapeutic process. My therapy dog, Daisy, is present one day a week and is used for animal-assisted therapy. Please feel free to email me to discuss getting started with therapy. I provide a variety of counseling techniques such as play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, parenting strategies, family counseling, and sandtray therapy. I frequently provide help with anxiety and mood management. I am a Registered Play Therapist and have 15 years of experience.
