My Approach to Therapy

I approach therapy with the belief that healing is an innate human capacity. Often, unconscious patterns and old wounds keep us trapped in outdated stories about who we are and what is possible. Therapy can provide a safe, caring space to reconnect with what’s been obscured, allowing us to come into greater alignment with our true nature and access more freedom in how we relate to ourselves and others. My clinical focus includes developmental trauma and the lasting effects of early relational experiences, which can shape our nervous systems in ways that contribute to anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, and other problematic patterns. I integrate psychodynamic, somatic, mindfulness-based, and experiential perspectives, bringing attention not only to the stories you tell but also to what emerges through emotion, relationship, and the body. I warmly welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds who are interested in exploring themselves deeply. I also provide Brainspotting Therapy. I believe healing is a natural process available to everyone, no matter their history, and that therapy can be a safe, supportive space to reconnect with that innate capacity. I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds and work best with clients who are ready to do deep work on themselves.

My Practice & Services

I practice at Market Street Psychotherapy, a group practice in the heart of Ballard, Seattle, offering thoughtful, individualized mental health care. Our team includes psychiatrists and psychotherapists who share a commitment to understanding each person beyond their symptoms, with attention to their relationships, personal history, and emotional life. In addition to the individual psychotherapy I provide, my colleagues offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) assessments, couples therapy, and interpersonal process group therapy. Having these services available within one practice allows for collaboration and coordinated care when appropriate. We offer both in-person appointments in our Ballard office and telehealth sessions. Our practice is out of network with insurance, but we provide superbills that clients can submit for potential reimbursement.
