My Approach to Helping
In agony because of problems with your family or your partner? Do you feel that no matter how much love you give, you don't get it back? No matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work? I help people who are wounded because of old or new family or relationship problems and who have had enough. Who want to feel more happiness, feel better about to themselves, get on with a life of meaning.. If you are feeling like you've really want support and clarity, it would be my honor to work with you to recover hope..
My approach is easy-going, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I work with you to minimize the things that sabotage your happiness. These might include old traumas that need healing, negative ways of thinking, poor decision-making, limited ability to see options, or poor self-esteem.
I primarily use deep and respectful listening, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and EMDR--a method for rewiring the brain to be more positive and less affected by old traumas. In addition to my graduate training in clinical mental health counseling, I hold a Ph.D. in life coaching.
