What's My Approach to Therapy?

Do you feel that no matter how much love you give, you don't get it back? No matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work? I help people who are wounded because of old or new family or relationship problems, people who lack hope in life or faith in themselves--people who have had enough. Who want to feel more happiness, feel better about to themselves, get on with a life of meaning. My approach is easy-going, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I work with you to minimize the things that sabotage your happiness. These might include old traumas that need healing, negative ways of thinking, poor decision-making, limited ability to see options, or poor self-esteem. I primarily use deep and respectful listening, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and EMDR--a method for rewiring the brain to be more positive and less affected by old traumas. In addition to my graduate training in clinical mental health counseling, I hold a Ph.D. in life coaching.

My Practice & Services

I work primarily via secure telehealth and have had much success meeting with clients this way.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

In addition to the practice specialties listed above, I also work with individuals coping with betrayal trauma, with partners of sex addicts, and with individuals going through hell with their families or partners. My Ph.D. research was on working with cult survivors--another specialty area.
