My Approach to Therapy

I work with clients who are coming to therapy seeking relief. Relief from intrusive or obsessive thoughts, relief from tired family dynamics, relief from falling into the same cycles of dating, and relief from the anxiety and stress of being a person today. To me, therapy isn’t about immediately feeling better, but about sifting through what makes us uncomfortable, what feels difficult, and what causes the tears. We are in this space to work on the relationship that we often forget to prioritize, the one we have with ourselves. I received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, after previously earning a Bachelor of Social Work from Skidmore College. My background in social work, combined with my training as a restorative justice facilitator, led me to seek a field of work that is about connection, compassion, and self-reflection.

My Practice & Services

I am passionate about supporting people who need a therapy experience that feels aligned with their needs. Some days we need to vent, and other days we need concrete tools. Therapy isn’t one size fits all, and each session can be different. I aim to align with my clients while also keeping them accountable to their goals and their commitment to who they want to be. I want prospective clients to know that they don’t have to feel ready for therapy to start. If you're experiencing some resistance, let's talk about it! Even if you don’t feel ready, you’re here looking for support, so maybe it’s time.
