My Approach to Helping
My approach is integrative and contextual with a basic belief in the value of connection and the power of possibility. I provide psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and consultation with specialties in trauma-focused treatments, such as EMDR and clinical hypnosis, in addition to couples work and group therapy. I recognize that we are heavily shaped by our relationships, family experiences, and social location in the world with regard to our race, culture, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability. I am also a Clinical Supervisor at the Therapy Center of Philadelphia (FKA Women's Therapy Center) and teach courses related to Group Therapy at PCOM and Drexel. My work pulls from Relational-Cultural and Feminist Theory, which focuses on therapy relationships being grounded in mutual respect and a sense of shared purpose that provides movement toward clarity, growth, and potential. I offer individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for clients. For clinicians, I offer clinical supervision for licensure in PA.
