My Approach to Therapy

As someone with personal experiences of grief and trauma, I understand the need for deep empathy, understanding, and compassion in my work with each client. I am a therapist supervised by Christopher Hansen, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)-S). I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. My professional journey began in the nonprofit sector, where I recognized a gap in access to quality mental health care and felt inspired to further my education so I could better serve those in need. I work with older adolescents, young adults, and individuals in later adulthood who are navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar, psychosis, and other concerns. I strive to help each person feel understood as we work together toward personal growth.

My Practice & Services

My approach is tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), person-centered, and trauma-focused approaches to provide care that’s responsive. I believe meaningful progress happens within a collaborative relationship, and it can create lasting change that feels aligned with your goals. I know how much courage it takes to open up and begin this process. I also know how important it is to feel genuinely seen, heard, and met with empathy. You deserve that kind of space. Therapy can be a powerful opportunity to create meaningful change in your life, and you don’t have to do it alone. When you’re ready, we can take that first step together.
