My Approach to Therapy

I believe healing happens when we learn to listen to our bodies and our emotions. My approach is warm, intuitive, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can slow down, notice what's happening inside, and gently reconnect with the parts of yourself that you've had to protect or push aside. We will work with how your experiences live in the body rather than just talk about them. We'll explore where tension settles, emotions get stuck, and where there's room for release or expansion. I pay close attention to your nervous system and what it's communicating, helping you shift from survival mode into a greater sense of steadiness and self-connection at a pace that feels safe to you. Please contact me through the "request a consultation" button on this page or via email. I am not easily reached by phone, so these methods are the best way to get in touch. I look forward to connecting with you!

My Practice & Services

I combine techniques from various modalities to tailor treatment to your specific needs and goals. I frequently use attachment-based therapy to address anxious and avoidant behavior that may be straining relationships; internal family systems therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to process trauma; and CBT to challenge negative thought patterns and enhance skills, with other approaches sprinkled in. I have specialized training in EMDR and hold certification through the EMDR International Association.

My Training and Experience

I have eight years of diverse experience across various mental health settings, including private practice, non-profit community centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and community rehabilitation. In my role as a community rehabilitation provider, I specialized in community-based rehabilitation for individuals with mental health disabilities, assisting them with benefit applications, resource access, and community integration. I have served as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist for children, adolescents, and young adults on the autism spectrum as well. These experiences allow me to offer extensive expertise in supporting individuals facing a wide range of challenges, from minor life transitions to severe mental health symptoms.
