My Approach to Helping
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel supported, to act as an ally who truly cares about your wellbeing and wants to help you achieve your goals. I specialize in helping people who experience intense, painful emotions or high levels of stress to better understand themselves, feel more in control of their feelings and decrease stress, anxiety and sadness. I also help people to live more balanced, fulfilling lives by decreasing career related burnout, improving relationships, recognizing unique personal strengths and implementing healthy boundaries.
The type of therapy I practice is called Dialectical Behavior Therapy- it focuses on providing empathy and compassion while also teaching practical techniques to keep emotions balanced, reduce emotional pain, practice mindfulness, and improve relationships. I listen intently during sessions and really care about your feelings and experiences. I utilize a non-judgmental approach to help you feel seen and heard, and work with you to find solutions to your problems.
In our sessions I'll give you the attention and care you deserve. You’ll feel the warmth and compassion in my approach. I’ll function as an added support system in your life. No matter what you’re dealing with- you’ll have my full support and expertise. I’ll help you live a successful and happy life.
