My Approach to Therapy

Do you have the same fights? Does anything ever get resolved? Do you long for a simpler time when things were better between you and your partner? Do you talk only about logistics and the kids? Are you roommates and want to be lovers? Do you feel alone even though you are surrounded? Are you stuck in your relationship? I understand. I've helped numerous couples learn new skills, develop a better process for resolving differences and navigating life so that .... at minimum, you like each other at the end of the day. In my work, I include individual and couples therapy and add group therapy when the time is right. With this 360-degree view of each individual in the couple, the patient is able to see their self-defeating patterns and practice new skills in couples and groups to become a better partner. I also work with individuals in their work roles in a similar fashion.

My Practice & Services

Do you know you can have more out of life even today with limited mobility? Do you struggle to understand why you are unable to have satisfying relationships when you most need them? Are you challenged by today's stressors and are looking for more internal balance? You are in the right place. This is a time to deepen your self-understanding and strengthen your relationships. I will help you find a new balance, get through hurts and pain that hold you back in normal times, to create a good life. I work with clients who are high functioning in the world and want a better inter-personal and internal quality of life -- to help you not just cope but thrive at home and at work.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I encourage individuals eager to develop the quality of their relationship to engage in couple and group therapy. In couple therapy, you will learn how you end up pushing away your partner and learn new ways of calming your self to engage with better results. In group therapy, patients who are in individual and group benefit from seeing how they recreate their relationship patterns with complete strangers. Group therapy is the best way to learn about oneself in relationships and improve your connectedness and self-confidence.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

The most important questions to ask in my view and according to research are: Can I connect with this therapist? Will I be able to let her help me? Do I think I have something to learn from her journey and approach to life? As you see, these questions are entirely subjective, and have little to do with theoretical approach. So check your gutt, and be curious about the therapists you meet. Choose the one you think that you connect with, and are willing to share your pains and joys with.
