What's My Approach to Therapy?

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.

As a counselor, I believe that healing begins with being truly seen and heard. My approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and deep respect for every journey. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences openly and begin to find your way forward with understanding and compassion. With me, all emotions are valid—sarcasm, anger, fear, and tears are all welcome. I am an LGBTQ+ ally, disability advocate, feminist, and sex/kink-positive provider.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, grief in all its forms, new motherhood, life transitions, confidence struggles, medical trauma, sex and relationship issues, and the complex realities of caregiving, some of which I have personal experience with. These struggles can bring feelings of isolation, uncertainty, and exhaustion. Together, we’ll work to untangle those emotions, build resilience, and rediscover a sense of balance and purpose.

As an independently licensed clinical social worker (LICSW), I bring years of experience and a calm, steady presence to my work. My practice is collaborative and person-centered. No person is the same, and neither are the strategies and research-based methods I use with each client. We will work together to identify your goals, explore your strengths, and create a plan that amplifies you. I view therapy as a partnership built on trust and the belief that you have the capability to change your life with a little bit of guidance. I often use a combination of somatic approaches, internal family systems, with a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, among others.

I understand that life can be busy. I offer evening and weekend appointments to make support more accessible and convenient. Don't see a time that works for you? Just ask! Change can be challenging, and healing often unfolds in its own time. You don’t have to walk that path alone. Together, we’ll work toward greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.

My Practice & Services

I see clients with insurance on the Sondermind and Headway platforms. I also make house visits to individuals living on Cape Cod, but do not accept insurance for those sessions.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

While I have experience working with a wide range of clients, I?m especially passionate about supporting women who struggle with anxiety and confidence issues- often rooted in past trauma. My own experiences with postpartum anxiety and depression, as well as caring for loved ones with dementia, have given me meaningful, real-world insight into the challenges faced by mothers and caregivers. This combination of personal experience and professional education uniquely equips me to work effectively with these populations.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Maybe you weren't listened to, pathologized, or worse. My rules for therapy are...

1. This is your time. I work for you and you're running the show.
2. I'll ask you to dig deep and feel uncomfortable at times. If you don't want to, you don't have to.
3. You are a person, not a diagnosis.
4. Feedback is welcome and encouraged. We have to be honest with one another for progress to happen.
