My Approach to Helping
A healthy mind is the best predictor of a happy life! I am passionate about helping people find happiness and develop the capacity to treat themselves with kindness, connect with others, and find purpose in their life. I have an active style and have developed a "healthy mind approach" to helping. This means we focus on feeling resilient, stable, strong, balanced, and happier rather than on mental illness. In this process, we will determine what gives you a sense of well-being and happiness. I will then support and teach strategies for strengthening positive feelings and mind-states. This may be in the form of mindfulness practices, brain-based tools, strategies for connecting with others or finding a greater purpose. For grieving people, I help address the most difficult symptoms while processing the loss and returning to a sense of balance and hope.
