My Approach to Therapy
You may be managing responsibilities, caring for others, or navigating a difficult season while feeling overwhelmed yourself. Therapy offers space to feel heard, understand what you are experiencing, and develop practical ways to move forward.
I provide compassionate, collaborative therapy for adults, youth ages 10–18, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Together, we work toward stronger coping skills, healthier boundaries, improved communication, and greater confidence.
I have a particular interest in perinatal and postpartum mental health, including depression, anxiety, parenting stress, identity changes, and family adjustment during pregnancy and after childbirth. My doctoral research explored Black maternal mental health, informing my commitment to listening closely to experiences that may have been overlooked or misunderstood.
I also support adults navigating workplace stress, burnout, and challenging workplace relationships. With children and teens, I use creative, engaging, age-appropriate activities to explore emotions, build self-esteem, strengthen relationships, and manage school and everyday pressures.
My approach is culturally responsive and trauma-informed. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and recognize how culture, identity, relationships, and life experiences shape emotional well-being. We will work together to identify goals that reflect what matters to you.
