What's My Approach to Therapy?
If you are looking for therapy, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. You might be dealing with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship struggles, or a situation in life that feels difficult to manage on your own. Many people reach out for help when they feel confused, discouraged, or unsure how to move forward. If that is where you are right now, I want you to know that you’re not alone and change is possible.
My role is to help you gain clarity, practical tools and emotional strength so you can move forward with confidence. I work with individuals and couples who want more than just temporary relief. Many of the people who come to see me want to better understand what is happening in their minds, improve their relationships and develop strategies that actually work in real life.
When we work together, I take a structured, collaborative approach. I listen carefully to understand your story, your goals and the challenges you’re facing. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or relationship conflict. From there, we begin building practical skills that help you respond differently to those challenges.
My counseling approach combines evidence-based methods with a compassionate, supportive environment. I frequently use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP) to help individuals manage anxiety and obsessive-compulsive patterns. For couples, I focus on improving communication, rebuilding trust and strengthening emotional connection.
Many clients tell me they appreciate that our sessions are both supportive and practical. My goal is not only to help you talk about what’s going on, but also to help you develop tools you can apply in everyday life.
If faith is an important part of your life, I can also integrate faith-based perspectives into therapy. If you prefer a strictly clinical approach, our work can remain fully evidence-based and psychological.
Therapy is a place where you can speak honestly, explore what matters most to you and begin making meaningful changes. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and equipped with the tools you need to move forward.
If you are ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I would be honored to work with you.
