My Approach to Therapy

You may be carrying more than others realize. On the outside, you may appear capable and composed, while inside you feel anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you cannot seem to change. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana, and I work with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and the lasting effects of painful relationships or difficult experiences. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including accelerated resolution therapy (ART), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed mind-body approaches, based on your needs and goals. Together, we work to understand what is keeping you stuck, process painful experiences, strengthen coping skills, build healthier patterns, and create meaningful change. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you. It is about helping you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward feeling more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.

My Practice & Services

Journey To My Truth Counseling provides therapy for adults in a supportive, individualized setting. I offer in-person sessions in Evansville and telehealth throughout Indiana. I work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and chronic emotional overwhelm. Treatment may include ART, EMDR, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed approaches based on your needs and goals. I am currently accepting new clients and participate with several insurance plans, including Indiana Medicaid.

My Role as a Therapist

My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you understand yourself more clearly, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools for meaningful change. I will challenge you when helpful, support you without judgment, and work collaboratively with you at a pace that respects both your goals and your readiness.
