My Approach to Therapy

I believe that seeking a therapist is a meaningful and courageous step, and my approach is grounded in creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I work from a person-centered perspective, which means I value your lived experiences and trust that you are the expert on your own life. Our work together is collaborative and paced with care, focusing on understanding your goals, strengths, and challenges without judgment. I strive to offer a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions safely, build insight, and develop tools that align with who you are and what matters most to you.

My Practice & Services

My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and work at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by life changes, stuck in unhelpful patterns, disconnected from others, or simply unsure of what you need next, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I value creating a space where you can be honest without fear of judgment, explore your experiences safely, and build on your strengths. Together, we focus on helping you gain clarity, confidence, and practical tools so you can feel more balanced, connected, and hopeful about your future.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness, it's an act of courage and self-respect. It takes strength to pause, reflect, and be honest about what isn't working, especially in a world that often tells us to push through pain alone. Choosing therapy means you're willing to care for yourself, learn new ways to cope, and invest in your growth. To me, asking for support shows resilience, insight, and a commitment to creating a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Groups I Work With

I work with a wide range of individuals and families, including those navigating major life transitions or coping with ongoing stress and change. This includes parents who are struggling to connect with their children, or learn effective ways to respond to challenging behaviors, as well as individuals and couples experiencing strained or conflicted relationships. I support teens and adolescents who face difficulties with emotional regulation, low self-esteem, academic challenges, and peer relationships. I also work with professionals who feel stuck in their careers, high achievers who are highly self-critical, and individuals struggling to find balance and fulfillment. Additionally, I provide culturally responsive support to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) women and men who are navigating social stressors and their impact on mental health. I work with elderly populations who may feel isolated or abandoned, are facing end-of-life concerns, or are experiencing a lack of hope or purpose for the future.
