I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 18 years of case management and counseling experience, during which I utilized a variety of counseling techniques to empower clients to positively respond to their presenting problems. I am well-versed in treating emotional issues resulting from trauma and grief. My approach aims to empower individuals and help them develop positive and healthy coping skills. I offer a nonjudgmental and supportive approach that will provide essential tools needed to move individuals beyond the negative influences of their trauma. Most people experience challenges as they navigate life. By exploring your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, values, and relationships you can develop a better understanding of yourself which can ultimately lead you to a more fulfilling, healthy, and balanced life. My approach is person-centered; you are essentially in charge of what you want to explore. My background is in treating substance abuse and mental health disorders. I assist individuals uncover their hidden strengths and augment their self-awareness. I provide a supportive non-judgmental environment where you will feel safe to work on your issues.
