At Be You Counseling, I offer an interactive and holistic form of psychotherapy that focuses on the total person, At Be You Counseling, I offer an interactive and holistic form of psychotherapy that focuses on the total person, recognizing the unity of the mind, body, and emotions. Often times, words alone cannot capture the depth of our experiences or bring relief to the struggles we are experiencing.

How you experience a relationship, love, support, excitement, anger, sadness, fear, trauma, to name a few, is unique to you. Only you know how to process and express those experiences. I will encourage you to SPEAK honestly about your thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and challenges. I will support you to EXPRESS authentically your inner experiences with words, movement, sounds, and/or colors. Together we will seek to discover who you are, how you got here, and how you hold yourself back from speaking, expressing, and creating the life you want.

More Info About My Practice

I understand the importance of the client-therapist relationship and invite people to come in and meet with me in person for their first session. If they are not interested in coming in for a second session, they their first session is FREE of charge. This will allow them to see if I'm the person they want to work with--before making a commitment.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The connection between the client and their therapist represents an opportunity to create a healthy, functioning relationship in which both individuals are present and active in its development and maintenance. Some people may find it hard to trust others and part of their work will be learning how to trust their therapist. Others may feel inauthentic and powerless to speak up for themselves, and their work will be to find their power and speak their truth to their therapist. Through this process people will need to be supported to speak openly and honestly about their thoughts and feelings. The role of the therapist is to help facilitate that process by saying and doing what is right for the client.
