My approach is based on creating a strong relationship with my clients, a place where they feel safe to explore their lives and emotions. I always work collaboratively with my clients to find what techniques and therapeutic environment they need to grow and heal. I believe that having an empathic, open, and caring therapist is where successful therapy begins. I place a strong emphasis on making my clients feel comfortable, welcome, and safe. I do not believe that one approach in therapy will work for everyone. I have found, over time, that my clients have many different unique needs and, thus, I have trainings in various clinical approaches to treatment. I use my experience and my clinical skills to get to know my clients and gauge what I feel would be most helpful for them to reach their goals (i.e., cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), reflective listening, empathic emotional support, grief therapy, analyzing upbringing and home life, family therapy sessions, etc.). I truly focus on my clients' needs and personalize their therapy sessions to meet them.
