My Approach to Therapy

I believe in the power of therapy for everyone. We all need a safe place to vent, feel validated in our experiences, and process the difficult parts of life. Humor and hope are two key elements of my work with clients. I have been working as a counselor for over 10 years, and I have found that through humor, collaboration, and understanding, we can make incredible leaps toward healing and becoming our best selves. I look forward to guiding you along this journey. I began my work with clients with substance use concerns, implementing a harm reduction approach. I have since focused on working with adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, and life adjustments to reduce symptoms, and to help you find purpose and healing. I use evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relational therapy, and motivational interviewing. I look forward to meeting with you and beginning to work together to support your goals, provide space to process life’s small and large hurdles, and celebrate the wins.
