I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel safe exploring who you are, where you are, and where you'd like to be. I use an integrative approach using cognitive behavior therapy, rational emotive therapy, and motivational interviewing techniques. The combination of these approaches will help us understand how your emotions are triggering certain behaviors and where those emotions are rooted. Healing is not one size fits all, so your care shouldn't be either. Together, we can find what techniques and skills are best suited to you and your strengths. Our practice also allows for nutrition and somatic healing to be incorporated into your treatment plan if you are interested in healing as a whole.
What Makes up a Problem?
A problem is an idea that requires a solution. In therapy I work hard to help individuals unlearn talking about their circumstances as problems. Instead, you are dealing with your current circumstances, because circumstances can change and so can your situation. A problem requires a solution, but a circumstance requires a change.
