My Approach to Therapy

I work with clients who are interested in scientifically supported therapy for anxiety, depression, and related concerns. Clients work with me to address challenges such as excessive worry, panic, health anxiety, perfectionism, and obsessive-compulsive challenges (OCD). We also work on concerns that tend to accompany these challenges, such as depressed feelings, sleep problems, and difficulties with motivation, energy, and concentration. My main approaches to treatment include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and mindfulness. Working with me is a collaboration. We work together to identify your values, goals for treatment, and a realistic plan to achieve them. Therapy with me is also very active; we focus on things you can try in your life right now to feel better and live the life you want.

My Practice & Services

My practice is highly personal and responsive. I work with clients directly- to provide any information you need to figure out if we're a good match, to schedule (or reschedule) appointments, to assist you in obtaining possible reimbursement from any insurance you may have, and- of course- to work with you in therapy...identifying your values and goals for treatment and pursuing those goals through regular therapy sessions. Emails and telephone calls are returned promptly...typically within the day they are sent. Therapy is an investment in time, money, and emotional energy. I appreciate when clients choose me to make this investment...my approach reflects this.
