What's My Approach to Therapy?
Welcome!
It can be hard to recognize that you might have parts of your life that you have pushed aside or are uncomfortable with. It takes a lot of courage to acknowledge this and then to take the steps to reach out to someone for assistance.
I believe in working as a partner with people to explore areas that cause difficulty, to build upon solutions that have previously worked, and to learn new skills to improve one's ability to cope. I enjoy getting to know the people I work with and finding solutions that are unique to them. One of my greatest professional joys is being with someone as they grow in ways that allow them to find calm, confidence, and better ways of coping in this wild world.
If you feel we might be a good match, I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you.
My Practice & Services
I decided to become a Social Worker after 911 and wanted to do more to help my community. I fell in love with doing clinical work and working in partnership with people as they grow toward their goals and fulfill their potential.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work (2005). In addition, I have advanced training through Hunter College School of Social Work's Post-Masters Program in Advanced Clinical Social Work With Individuals (2010) and The William Alanson White Institute's Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychoanalysis Program (2011). Over the years, I have provided therapy to clients of various backgrounds and challenges.
I live and work in NY's Hudson Valley, and I'm providing online therapy to adults who are in New York State.
