What's My Approach to Therapy?

At times, we may all need a little help or another perspective to bring what we need to our awareness. When we need guidance, we can connect to an inner compass that at times feels confusing, conflicting, or just plain out of reach. I feel we can tap into our deepest selves, gracefully face life’s obstacles, and show kindness and concern to both ourselves and others. My goal is to recognise people’s strengths and needs in an accepting and caring manner and keep pace with you as you walk your journey. I take a client-centred approach using strengths-based, trauma-informed strategies, with a holistic perspective. As we work toward balanced mental and emotional health, I’ve found that connecting to nature and supporting physical health through nutrition and activity can be really helpful. I’m here to assist you in identifying, exploring and working through obstacles and to help you connect to and honour your authentic self. Common concerns I work with include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions and stress. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work, including narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy and mindfulness-based approaches. Together, we will find what will best fit your needs. I offer free 15-minute consultations to see if we’re a good fit. I’d love to chat further about your goals. The name Flexible Minds originates from the idea that when we are too rigid in our thinking, it limits our ability to handle situations with ease. When our mind is flexible, we can move with, rather than against, whatever life throws our way. Flexibility allows us to better adapt and embrace life more fully. We are then able to be present and live more authentically to who we are and who we want to be. The more we can bend, the less we will break. We offer virtual psychotherapy, walk and talk therapy, somatic therapy, yoga, and mental health workshops.
