My Approach to Therapy
At Ember & Bloom Therapy Co., we believe therapy should help you understand yourself, not convince you that there is something wrong with you. Our approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, affirming, and grounded in the understanding that many behaviors and coping strategies developed for good reasons.
We help clients slow down, understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, and develop greater trust in themselves. Together, we explore emotions, relationships, boundaries, identity, communication, and the experiences that have shaped how you relate to yourself and others. We draw from evidence-based approaches, while adapting therapy to the individual rather than expecting every client to fit the same model.
Our practice welcomes clients who may not feel at home in traditional therapy, including LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent adults, people navigating complex trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, body image concerns, disordered eating concerns, and those exploring polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, and other relationship structures.
Most importantly, we want therapy to be a space where you can be honest. You do not have to perform wellness, minimize your experiences, or have everything figured out before you begin. We will meet you where you are, and work alongside you toward greater self-understanding, meaningful connection, and a life that feels more authentically yours.
