My Approach to Therapy

Seeking support with strengthening your relationships or parenting skills? I support adults, youth, and couples, helping you navigate youth crisis, complex families, neurodivergence, emotion regulation, grief, trauma, domestic abuse, cross-cultural relationships, mental health concerns, and substance use. Together, we can work on coping with anxiety, communication challenges, conflict, boundaries, and emotion regulation, and improve your self-esteem and confidence. Whether you are a parent seeking support for yourself or for your child, I can help you build more calm, emotional regulation, and everyday coping skills. Sessions with me use a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve mood, self-esteem, and your ability to manage anxiety, depression, and stress. I also use a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) approach to support you in developing skills and helpful coping strategies to improve your relationships, emotion regulation, and coping during crisis. The Gottman method of couples therapy allows me to support you with relationship struggles, communication patterns, conflict resolution, and making positive changes in your partnership.
