My Approach to Therapy

I am an art therapist who is also trained and seeking certification in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I am experienced in working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. I work with clients who seek therapy to overcome issues related to anxiety, depression, family or relationship conflicts, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), attachment-related disorders, grief, and self-esteem. I work on the approach that there is nothing wrong with the individual that needs to be fixed, but a matter of asking "What happened to you" and then developing new or improved tools to manage feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that are not healthy and that are interfering with the client's happiness and life satisfaction.
