My Approach to Therapy
Life can bring unexpected challenges that leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure about what comes next. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to face it alone. I believe healing happens when you have a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and LPCLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Supervisor with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), substance use, relationship concerns, grief, parenting challenges, mood challenges, spiritual concerns, HIV-related issues, LGBTQ+ experiences, and major life transitions. I also enjoy supporting clients as they build healthier relationships, increase confidence, and develop effective coping strategies.
My counseling style is warm, genuine, and straightforward. I believe honesty and compassion can exist together, allowing us to address difficult topics while creating an environment where you feel respected and empowered. Every client has a unique story, so I tailor counseling to your individual needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
I integrate evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed interventions. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling that incorporates Christian principles while respecting each person's individual beliefs and values.
