My Approach to Helping
My work is guided by the central philosophy that each of us is naturally inclined towards wholeness and steered by survival. Paradoxically, the habits and patterns we experience as painful obstacles actually began as strategies to help us survive. Once we understand them as such, we can begin to untangle how you arrived at the place you are and work through the difficult experiences and memories that haunt you.
As a holistic, integrative therapist, I take all aspects of your well-being into consideration and draw from multiple approaches to address your needs and concerns in a way that is uniquely responsive to you. Through gentle attention and exploration, we can address worries, overwhelming emotions, numbness, panic, isolation, or any disruption in your life that keeps you from being in harmonious relationship with yourself and others.
My primary goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, validated, respected, and empowered. I welcome people of all identities and expressions in my practice, and I know that how we interact with power and privilege has a direct impact on our mental and emotional health. Know that there are reasons for your suffering, there is relief to be had, and you are strong for having persevered.
