I am a psychotherapist specializing in overcoming the consequences of trauma for adults of all ages. As a well-rounded clinician with more than 12 years of experience, I help insightful adults overcome the lingering effects of trauma that keep them from optimal living. I specialize in helping people overcome barriers to optimal growth. My approach is collaborative, conversational, and compassionate. I'm passionate about helping people access known or newly discovered capacities for meaningful living. Working together, you can expect a relaxed and judgement-free environment. I use meaningful conversations, with a mixture of humor and insight, to help clients realize their unique potential for growth. My style is interactional, and I work to honor each person's emotional and spiritual journey. My path to becoming a therapist began at a young age with the realization that complete strangers quickly felt comfortable sharing their deep concerns, regrets, fears, etc. and walked away with a sense of hope and relief. They felt seen and appreciated. These experiences convinced me that a person-centered approach, with the intent of mutual discernment of the path forward, is often the most effective therapy. I believe in discretion, integrity, and collaboration, which allows me to be a safe, confident, and effective partner in one's journey towards optimal mental health. I spend most of my downtime on the cello or fixing things around the house.
