My name is Carol Johnson. I am a licensed clinical social worker. My approach to therapy emphasizes empathy, understanding, and respect for the client's unique experiences and feelings. Currently, my focus areas of practice are depression, stress, and anxiety. I also work with persons diagnosed with serious mental illnesses including major depression (MDD), borderline personality (BPD), and schizophrenia on a case-by-case basis.

One of my goals as your therapist is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and accepted. I will support you with active and reflective listening, acknowledge and validate your feelings and experiences without judgment, encourage you to explore your thoughts and feelings more deeply, provide guidance and instruction when warranted, and help you see a situation from a different perspective, which can lead to new insights and solutions.
