What's My Approach to Therapy?

I am a Rhode Island licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) specializing in the treatment of anxiety and depression in adults. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of worry or low mood, or are emotionally exhausted by life's demands. I partner with my clients to find the best path forward by recognizing each individual's strengths and needs, and providing a safe, affirming, and empowering environment for growth and healing. I aim to create a nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, feel understood, and talk openly about what's been weighing on you. Therapy moves at a pace that feels manageable, especially for those who feel anxious about starting or returning to therapy. We'll examine the thoughts and beliefs that may be negatively affecting you, as well as acknowledge and celebrate the personal qualities that have served you well.

Reaching out for therapy can be difficult, especially when you're already feeling low or anxious. I would be honored to help you gain additional insight on your life's journey, and welcome you to contact me to ask questions or schedule an initial consultation to see if we're a good fit.
