My Approach to Therapy

Your story is everything, and everything is in the story. Every problem has a starting point. My goal is to work with you to find that starting point (what we also call the root problem). It’s like a line of dominos that have fallen, and we want to find that first domino. While we all believe we can find that first domino on our own, it’s more likely that we “can’t see past the end of our nose” (Mary Poppins). In other words, we are a little, or very much, “living” inside our own heads. This can make it very difficult to find that first domino because we’re focused only on what we can see in our minds. When you have a problem in life that you find challenging to solve on your own, what do you do? You ask someone for help. That is what therapy is for. So if you’re ready to stop facing your challenge on your own, contact me, and let’s find that first domino.

My Practice & Services

For the Love of Therapy is a private practice that offers telehealth only. I find clients tend to be more comfortable in their own space. I offer an easy way to schedule a session, find and fill out necessary forms, and contact me as needed. Sliding scale is offered for those who need the help. I take some health insurances, offer superbills for those with insurances I don't take, and accept donations that go toward covering the cost of therapy for others. The goal of my practice is to reach people who may feel isolated in their challenges. People who don't know what to do; what the next step is. People who feel they have tried everything they know to solve an issue, improve themselves, have better relationships, etc. These are the people I love having as my clients! Because I truly believe that two heads are better than one, and that investing in yourself never fails!
