My Approach to Therapy

Have you always felt a little out of step with the world, as if everyone else got a manual you never received? You are not broken, and you are not alone. I believe acceptance is where change starts. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I have a particular passion for adults and young adults who are neurodivergent or wondering if they might be. As someone with attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism (AuDHD) myself, I understand what it is like to see the world a little differently. I also have extensive experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients. My work draws mainly on acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), along with mindfulness and person-centered approaches. Before becoming a counselor, I spent 15 years teaching music one-on-one, so creativity often finds its way into our sessions. You can expect a relaxed, genuine space where we focus on connection first and then on the tools that help you move toward the life you want.
