My Approach to Therapy

Supervision Details

My theoretical approach is rooted in the belief that reality is relational. From the quantum to the cosmic level, everything exists in relationship to everything else. As a systemically oriented supervisor, I view relationships as the formative reality out of which emerge every aspect of our experience—our self-perception, our family dynamics, and our clinical work. My Practice & Services

Many couples only come to therapy when their relationship is in distress, sometimes deep distress, wondering if their relationship can be saved and often desperate to save it. As your relationship therapist, I help you understand your conflict cycle, address the unmet emotional needs underlying it, and begin to create the love and connection you long for. My practice focuses exclusively on couple therapy. In addition to thousands of hours working with couples in distress, I have completed hundreds of hours of clinical training specific to couples therapy, including advanced training in both Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method Couple Therapy. I am truly passionate about helping couples heal and flourish.

My Therapy Focus

Our initial focus in couple therapy is to create a safe space in which the two of you can discover how to be who you want to be together. Only you can know that. My job is to help you discover it. Integrating attachment science, mindfulness, and neurobiology, our first sessions will focus on understanding your conflict cycle and creating a path toward de-escalation and emotional reconnection. I am continually inspired by the courage my couple clients display and grateful to be their therapist, offering my own unique array of training, skills, and experience in ways that most support their unique journeys toward their shared futures.
